Changes of lipid composition and fatty acid content in the hepatopancreas and expression of <scp>FABP</scp> before and after molting in red claw crayfish ( <i>Cherax quadricarinatus</i> )

Abstract To explore energy utilization during molting stage, matured and juvenile red claw crayfish were selected to determine changes in lipid composition fatty acid contents of hepatopancreas. Moreover, the expression binding protein (FABP) gene was determined verify acids at molecular level. Results showed that after molting, crude content significantly lower than before ( p &lt;.05). Among them, triglyceride hepatopancreas no significant differences both molting. The cholesterol only increased had molted. Phospholipids decreased but &lt; .05). Saturated did not differ crayfish, while it juveniles. monounsaturated increased, polyunsaturated FABP consistent with phospholipids change trend which may be indicator stage. specific metabolism pathway still needs further exploration.
